Terms of Use

Last updated July 4, 2026

By using dette.in, you're agreeing to the following. It's short on purpose.

What Dette is

Dette is a free, India-first tool that helps you understand what an EMI or existing debt does to your monthly finances. It's a calculator built around common-sense formulas, not a licensed financial advisor, a lender, or a credit bureau.

Not financial advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, or legal advice. Your Debt Score and any verdict shown are observations based on the numbers you enter — they don't reflect your actual credit score, don't guarantee loan approval or rejection, and shouldn't be the only thing you base a financial decision on. When in doubt, talk to a qualified professional.

No warranty

Dette is provided "as is." We work to keep the math correct and the tool available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Formulas and thresholds may be refined over time as the product improves.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Dette and its creator aren't liable for any decision made, or loss incurred, based on information from this site. You're responsible for your own financial choices.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at scale, or use the contact form or email feature to send spam or abusive content.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product changes. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
