Privacy Policy

Dette is built to need as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what happens to your information when you use it — no legal filler.

What never leaves your device

The numbers you type into Debt Score and Pre-Purchase Check — your income, EMIs, savings, purchase price — are stored only in your browser's local storage. They're never sent to any server, and we never see them. Clearing your browser data or using a different device clears this too.

What we collect anonymously

To understand how people use Dette, each calculation sends a small, anonymous event: which tool was used, the resulting score band or verdict (like "Stable" or "Manageable"), and a random session ID. Your actual income, debt, or purchase figures are never included — the fields we're allowed to send are fixed in code, not decided by whatever the page happens to contain, so there's no way for real numbers to slip through by accident.

If you email yourself a report

Both tools let you optionally send your result to your own inbox. If you choose to do this, the email address you type and that specific report (with your real numbers) are sent once, through our email provider, Resend, to deliver that message. We don't store the address afterward, add it to any list, or use it for marketing.

If you contact us

The contact form in the footer is handled by Netlify Forms. Whatever you type there — name, email, message — is submitted to Netlify so we can read and reply to it. It's used only to respond to you.

Cookies and tracking

Dette doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and there's no analytics script watching your session. The only thing stored in your browser is the local storage mentioned above, which stays on your device and under your control.

Third parties we rely on

• Netlify — hosting, the anonymous events store, and the contact form.
• Resend — delivering report emails you explicitly ask to send.

Your rights

Since we don't hold an account or profile tied to you, there's nothing to export or delete on our end beyond what's described above. You can clear your local calculations anytime by clearing your browser's site data for dette.in.

Changes to this policy

If how Dette handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect it.
